WALTER WEBB HITE, son of William and Elizabeth (Mitchell) Hite, was born in 1819 and died 1854. He married Lucy Ann Simmons on 2 December 1843 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia. They had three children:

– Ida Hart Hite
– Julias Alonzo Hite
– Mary E. Hite

IDA HART HITE, daughter of Walter and Lucy (Simmons) Hite, was born 22 December 1844 and died 16 December 1920. She married James McAden Butterworth. To see their children, see the Butterworth genealogy.

JULIAS ALONZO HITE, son of Walter and Lucy (Simmons) Hite, was born in 1846 and died in 1912. He married Allis F. (possibly Gee). They had at least one child:

– Ida Hite, b. abt 1890

IDA HITE, daughter of Julias and Allis Hite, was born about 1890. She married John Musson Pitzinger. He was born 6 September 1885 and died 23 June 1919. They had one child:

– Joulious Musson Pitzinger, b. 23 September 1917; d. 23 October 1918

JAMES LAND HITE, son of William and Elizabeth (Mitchell) Hite, was born 22 January 1822 and died 15 August 1864. He married Mary Jane Moore on 30 September 1847 in Warrenton, North Carolina. She was born 18 December 1827 and died 24 April 1864. They had eight children:
