HERBERT WATKINS ELAM, son of George and Jean Stroup-Elam, was born 26 February 1918 and died 27 October 1996. He married Delores Morgan on 9 September 1939. She was born 19 February 1923 and died 21 April 2008. They had three children:

MARY JEANETTE ELAM, daughter of Richard and Cary (Bracey) Elam, was born 15 June 1898 and died 20 April 1978. She married Charlie Bryant Hunt on 16 December 1916. He was born 13 November 1896 and died 15 January 1970. They had four children.

JANIE DELL HUNT, daughter of Charlie and Mary (Elam) Hunt, was born 18 January 1922. She married Ernest Ray Dickerson on 29 April 1939. He was born 26 April 1916 and died 21 February 1985 in Oxford, North Carolina. They had four children:

CHARLIE BRYANT HUNT, Jr., son of Charlie and Mary (Elam) Hunt, was born 29 January 1925 and died 22 January 1949. He married Pauline Irene Newton on 27 December 1943. She was born 26 October 1924 in Granville County, North Carolina and died 5 March 1998 in Raleigh, North Carolina. They had three children:

SAMUEL WATKINS HUNT, son of Charlie and Mary (Elam) Hunt, was born 11 December 1930. He married Dorothy Lois Hunt on 12 December 1947. She was born 19 December 1933. They had three children:

LAURA PARKER ELAM, daughter of Richard and Cary (Bracey) Elam, was born 8 May 1900. She married John Gilmer Freezer on 11 August 1921.

NANNIE CARY ELAM, daughter of Richard and Cary (Bracey) Elam, was born 26 July 1902 and died 10 November 1988. She married John Herbert Taylor on 23 April 1922. He was born 15 July 1894. They had two children.
